Hello Friends!! I hope you are all enjoying the heat this summer! Last time I posted about books to read this summer, and I already started reading The Wednesday Sisters! It is really good so far so if you are still wanting to read something, I am recommending that! For this week's Tuesday Ten, I am listing off some of the hottest summer hits so far!! Perfect for jamming out at the pool while reading one of my Hot Summer Reads! Wagon Wheel by Darius Rucker Perfect cruising music! When I hear this song on the radio, I BLAST it, being sure to shout, "If I die in Raleigh, at least I will die free!" The songs lyrics were originally written by Bob Dylan, and the song was first recorded by Old Crow Medicine Show. I encourage you to listen to the original in case you have not already. The bluegrass feel of the song gives listeners a taste of the sweet South. Load this song onto your iPod, roll your windows down, and drive off into the sunset on your very own Southern adventure! Come & Get It by Selena Gomez Remember "I Love You Like A Love Song?" Well she has done it again! This is another extremely catchy tune, and it is perfect to dance to. This is the first single off Selena's debut solo album, Stars Dance which is supposed to be released later in July 2013. Rock, pop and dance! Blowin' Smoke by Kacey Musgraves Sultry country! That is what Kacey Musgraves is selling! I sing this one too! All the time! Radioactive by Imagine Dragons Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh! Yep! I am indeed radioactive! This song is powerful and definitely a head rocker. Go a little crazy this summer and dance to this song whenever you hear it! Heart Attack by Demi Lovato Love? What? Heart Attack!!! I Love It by Icona Pop What a catchy tune right? Featured on so many different shows in the past six months, I am sure all of us have rocked out to this techno single at least once already. The Swedish DJ duo is stretching across borders to the U.S. and I would think it is safe to say, we love it! Done by The Band Perry This is a total kick-butt song! Dance, blast and sing because ladies, we have all been done with something/someone in our lives. Boys 'Round Here by Blake Shelton I seriously love this song! "Chew tobacco, chew tobacco, chew tobacco, spit!" I sing it whenever it comes on the radio. I am pretty sure Josh is tired of it! It also features the talent of the lovely spicy Pistol Annies. Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke Just listen to it... Just Give Me a Reason by P!nk This is seriously a beautiful song! P!nk's voice is sultry and sexy giving the lyrics behind the song a window of opportunity to shine. P!nk's vocal skills are also a win along with the beautiful harmonies performed by leader singer of Fun, Nate Ruess. I am not going to lie, I try out my own American Idol skills to this song, and it is the perfect base! What are you jamming out to this summer?

Hello All!! I know most of you are probably reading the host for the book club read, but I like to have lighter reads for the summer time. You know, the reads you sprawl out on a towel in front of the ocean and enjoy! I have already enjoyed some of these, but I am still looking forward to most! Commencement by J. Courtney Sullivan Assigned to the same dorm their first year at Smith College, Celia, Bree, Sally, and April couldn’t have less in common. This story of four women's journey through life lesson, heartbreak and more touches the heart of all women, young and old. Cannot wait to read this one! Bloodlines by Richelle Mead From the author of the Vampire Academy series (coming to theaters soon) comes this new series, Bloodlines. Richelle Mead is one of my favorite paranormal romance writers, and I look forward to being swept away by this book. Jill Dragomir - the sister of Moroi Queen Lissa Dragomir - is in mortal danger, and the Moroi must send her into hiding. To avoid a civil war, Sydney is called upon to act as Jill's guardian and protector, posing as her roommate in the last place anyone would think to look for vampire royalty - a human boarding school in Palm Springs, California. But instead of finding safety at Amberwood Prep, Sydney discovers the drama is only just beginning. Sisterland by Curtis Sittenfeld From an early age, Kate and her identical twin sister, Violet, knew that they were unlike everyone else. Kate and Vi were born with peculiar “senses”—innate psychic abilities concerning future events and other people’s secrets. Though Vi embraced her visions, Kate did her best to hide them. Now, years later, their different paths have led them both back to their hometown of St. Louis. This story is the hauntingly thought-provoking story of loyalty love, and belief. Reading this soon!! The Wednesday Sister by Meg Waite Clayton Friendship, loyalty, and love lie at the heart of Meg Waite Clayton’s beautifully written, poignant, and sweeping novel of five women who, over the course of four decades, come to redefine what it means to be family. This is another great story of friendship through hard times. Infamous by Lauren Conrad Coming out on June 11th, this is the third in the Fame Game trilogy, following the lives of Kate, Madison, Carmen and Gabby, these are such good reads! They are the perfect drama, romance and sizzle for any summer vacation! Life After Life by Kate Atkinson This book sounds amazing! It keeps popping up on my GoodReads account, and I officially added it to my "Need to Read" shelf! A story about a girl who lives and dies continuously. What would you do if you could live until you got it right? Inferno by Dan Brown The ultimate must read for those who don't read. If you loved Robert Langdon before, you will love him again! If you have never been introduced to Robert Langdon, it is never too late to fall in love! The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman After four harrowing years on the Western Front, Tom Sherbourne returns to Australia and takes a job as the lighthouse keeper on Janus Rock, nearly half a day’s journey from the coast. To this isolated island, where the supply boat comes once a season and shore leaves are granted every other year at best, Tom brings a young, bold, and loving wife, Isabel. Years later, after two miscarriages and one stillbirth, the grieving Isabel hears a baby’s cries on the wind. A boat has washed up onshore carrying a dead man and a living baby. This beautifully written novel is a GoodReads Choice 2012 Winner, and a thought-provoking novel of right and wrong. Yes, I believe this is a great vacation read! The Last Original Wife by Dorothea Benton Frank Leslie Anne Greene Carter is the last original wife among her husband's group of cronies. They've all traded in their first wives-the middle-aged women they long ago promised to love and cherish 'til death did them part-for riper peaches: younger . . . blonder . . . more enhanced models. Leslie thinks there's something to be said for a comfortable and deeply familiar relationship. Or at least she thinks until the day, out golfing with her husband and his friends, she slips into a manhole. And nobody realizes that she's gone. This story is one of love, friendship, and discovering the truth. Market Street by Anita Hughes Cassie Blake, heiress to Fenton's, San Francisco's most exclusive department store, has been married to Aidan, a handsome UC Berkeley professor, for ten years. But when she discovers Aidan allowed himself to be seduced by one of his students, she moves into the third floor of her best friend Alexis's Presidio Heights mansion. Aided by the hilarious and high-spirited Alexis, Cassie has to decide if she can forgive Aidan and give their marriage one more chance. Filled with high fashion, gourmet food, and more, this quirky tale is one of laughter, tears, and finding your way! What are your top beach reads this summer?
